MA and PhD in Speech ..?

You have to have a specific undergraduate major to apply to a master's degree Speech Pathology and Audiology or Ph.D. "I was thinking of majoring in psychology, with specialization in Child Development and then apply to a program Path talks once I graduate. Is this possible or do I need as a graduate major in speech pathology? Thanks!

It seems to be a good way. I think some background will be helpful in SP, great but not necessary.
