What I need to do the job of the physician assistant?

I have a degree in speech therapy, I graduate soon. I do not have the science courses or clinical experience in a hospital. I was told I should do an associate degree in nursing two years, then I would be good for PA work. This is a good not offer a plan or program of AP science and clinical need a foundation? Thank you!
