Question concerns speech late grandmother: My granddaughter is 21 months. Their physical and motor development appear to be normal, but insofar as it speaks is concerned, we think she is late. At this age, it must be capable of speaking a few words, but now it only makes unintelligible sounds, not syllables or words. Should we be concerned now and take her to a specialist? – Lola Worried
