"Jesus died on the cross to save our sins" or "Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins"?

I am writing a discourse of Easter for children to do in my church and I'm not sure which one sounds good. I use "Jesus died on the cross to save our sins" or "Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins?" I appreciate it, thanks.

Let me give you an analogy: Eg. You saw the burning house and there is a man trapped inside the flames. What message do u? 1. Save the fire! 2.Save man fire! I'm sure you would choose 2. is not it? same logic apply in the context of the Lord Jesus works because: 1. As humans, we are hopelessly stuck and can not save us. Second. Jesus appeals to God to forgive us, as a viewer, who calls for someone stronger to save 3. Sin is like a fire consuming and hurts us. I hope it is an appropriate response:)
